cantáte takes the 1950s 501XX as a point of departure, not a blueprint. The fabric is reworked from the ground up: warp tension adjusted, thread count reconsidered, the result being something that reads as denim but wears closer to nothing. The silhouette follows the same logic. High-ish rise, clean fall through the leg, redrawn pattern from scratch. It has the presence of workwear without the self-consciousness of it.
The wash is kept quiet on purpose. The fade is there but it doesn't shout. Natural shadow, room to age. Breaks in fast, holds up longer.
