Founded in Barcelona in 2014 by José Luis Bartolomé and Albert Escribano, Hereu reinterprets traditional Mediterranean craftsmanship through a contemporary lens. The brand, whose name means "heir" in Catalan, works with family run workshops across Spain to produce shoes, bags and small leather goods rooted in the region's artisanal heritage.
The collection spans woven leather totes, knotted-handle bags, T-bar loafers and a wider range of footwear and accessories, each marked by distinctive leather techniques and a functional, timeless silhouette.
Production is handled by skilled Spanish artisans using locally sourced and, in many cases, vegetable tanned leather, with GOTS-certified organic cotton for linings. The result is a considered range of pieces that pair Mediterranean nostalgia with a clean, modern sensibility, designed to be worn for many years.
